"Lost" - t v pop culture phenomenon

Does anyone else watch this t.v. show? If so, I have some questions I'd like to get other peoples' opinions on.

For starter's, has anyone thought of what those cursed numbers represent?

And, is Lock (the old man) good or bad? Has the island made him obsessed with finding answers at all costs, or is he actually concerned with the wellbeing of the collective group - as he claims?

And why do "the others" always take children? To brain wash them into more "others"?

And; finally, where have good shows like this been hiding all these years?
Maybe you can find cool stuff like the X-files or sci-fi shows on late late at night, but until the last, oh, two + years ago they never really put shows like this on prime time.

I know there's a large " Lost " speculation and fan community online. (web based communities that delve into the mysteries of "LOST") I'm not about to make this one of them. . . unless it would make my blog very very famous . . . .

That would just be too funny.

The most notable thing I notice when reading your blog is the way you almost interact with your blogging audience. You seem to be addressing the reader(s) as if they were sitting directly in front of you, one-on-one. You ask questions and meander through the postings almost conversationally. The length and feel of each posting carries throughout the blog... Longish posts, no images but supporting links. I have the feel of the guys in the local cafe Chatterbox, but then I imagine a young person with scrunched up eyebrows going into a diatribe (sp?). The way a reader views you can change just according to how you address them. It's a neat trick.

/squeal of delight

Another Lost junky!

My thoughts...

1. no idea bout those numbers
2. Locke..... I think he's good, but maybe all the stuff that happened to him in the past and the way the island/accident changed him has made him bad?
3.the children, young and impressionable... could be
4. I don't know where they've been but this is the best show I've ever watched. I never know what is going to happen next. I hope they can keep it up!

I try not to speculate too much anyhow. I'm usually wrong and what they come up with is sooooo much better anyway!

Aspen: Hey!, awesome. At my house we're Lost junkies as a family!

wow, thanks for answering all four questions!

So, you also believe Lock has turned astray? I believe this too. Once I argued with someone over which person on the island we would trust our lives with, and they argued in favor of Lock! So, you never know. He goves me the creeps sometimes, though.

I think they will keep the show unpredictable - caus that is one of their main goals. I saw this thing and the makers said they're trying to bring the back the kind of entertainment they had when they were kids. (like from some old western shows or something like that --- I can't remember exactly)
